For years, we had been making custom dog beds for our own dogs just for fun. My mom owns Fabric Showcase, a fabric store she has run for over 20 years, so we’ve always had access to beautiful fabrics and materials. What started as a small project for our own pets slowly turned into something we realized could become a real brand.

As a graphic design student graduating in 2026, I began developing The Lazy Lass as my senior thesis project. I wanted to combine my love for branding and design with something personal to my life. Since dogs have always been a big part of our family, turning our homemade dog beds into a thoughtful, well-designed product felt like the perfect idea.

By combining my mom’s expertise in fabrics and craftsmanship with my background in design, The Lazy Lass was born. Our goal is to create dog beds that are comfortable, durable, and actually look good in your home.

Every Lazy Lass bed is handmade in the Carolinas, using carefully selected fabrics and thoughtful construction. What started as something we made for our own dogs has grown into something we’re excited to share with other dog lovers. Because every dog deserves a really good place to rest.
